alderley house renovation

This renovation and extension was to a modest post war weatherboard cottage on a gently inclined west facing slope in Alderley.  The internal planning of the existing house was cellular and lacked clarity and did not connect to its rear yard.

The strategy implemented was to connect the house to the backyard to liberate the internal spaces and reorient them to the northeast.  A new outdoor living deck added to the rear of the house enabled a more contemporary lifestyle.  Adjacent to the new deck an additional guest bedroom and bathroom were added.

"We are extremely happy with the work of Paul and his team in designing a major extension and renovation of our home. Paul's design responds perfectly to the lifestyle needs of our family, and provides a high quality visual outcome. Paul's design also ensured our budget could be met. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul and his team to family and friends".
